From measurement to intervention
The common thread across the reported products is a shift from recording sleep to responding to it. AisySleep's SleepHub analyzes breathing sounds to judge whether a user is awake or in light, deep or REM sleep, then coordinates bedroom devices; the company says it trained its AI on roughly 10,000 polysomnography recordings and reported about 94% agreement with polysomnography in comparison research. Tenminds' AI Sleepbot analyzes sleep sounds and, when it detects snoring, inflates an airbag to adjust head height and angle. Coway's BEREX Sleep Sync mattresses use built-in contactless sensors to detect breathing movements and heart rate without wearables. [1] [2]
Ecosystem integration as the battleground
Integration with smart-home platforms is emerging as a key differentiator. AisySleep has joined Samsung Electronics' SmartThings as an official partner, and its controller was shown linked with Bespoke air purifiers and air conditioners in Samsung's CES sleep-care zone; the company also cites work with Kyungdong Navien, Ceragem and a Hyundai Engineering residential offering called 'Hey Sleep.' Tenminds' AI Sleepbot recently obtained SmartThings certification, enabling it to manage an entire bedroom — lights, air conditioners, humidifiers and air purifiers — once it detects that a user has gone to bed. Market relevance and open questions
The activity points to a Korean market where sleep is being framed as part of health management rather than a mattress-only purchase. Seoul Economic Daily cites Grand View Research projecting Korea's sleep tracking device market growing from $678.1 million in 2023 to $1.5161 billion in 2030. AisySleep's model is hardware supply to construction and appliance partners, with the company acknowledging that existing homes with mixed appliance brands remain difficult to equip and that installation efficiency and after-sales structures still need to be built out. The company also notes that scientific evidence is strongest for temperature control and still accumulating for music and lighting. [1] [2]
